Choosing a Wedding Videographer Using the Internet

Choosing the right videographer for your Cheshire wedding can be difficult.

Cheshire is a fairly large county and borders Greater Manchester, Liverpool, Wirral as well as several other counties, which means there is a very wide range of videographers available to you. So to go in to narrow down your choice?

One option many people think of is going to wedding fairs, unfortunately they make mistakes. From the videographer's perspective, wedding fairs in this area are very expensive and time consuming and do not result in gaining many new customers. As a result, most local videographers are avoiding them these days, concentrating their marketing efforts on having a great site filled with video previews that potential customers can see in their spare time. The videographers who still attend the fairs are often the people who have not really gotten a grip on the Internet yet, and you may think that the style of their films is in a similar old-fashioned style.

A much better place to start is online. A simple search for 'wedding video Cheshire', 'wedding video Wirral' or 'wedding video Liverpool', for example, brings up several pages of local videographers to choose from. Just by scanning through a few wedding videographer websites, you can soon see that there are huge variations in style, quality and price. Look a little further and you will find more variations such as coverage, options like diary rooms and same day edits, etc.

The first thing to consider when looking at this site is what types of videos can be viewed on them. There may be a show wheel that includes clips from several different weddings or short highlights from different weddings. You may also be able to watch entire wedding videos online. Of these, the show wheel will be the most conspicuous, but least representative. A complete video will obviously be less flashy, but much more representative of what you are likely to receive in the final product.

With this in mind, look at at least 5 or six of the sites and decide which ones you like and what their packages / costs are. You probably best discard at this point suppliers who do not show their costs on the site or who do not show their work.

You may already have a budget in mind. Most Miami wedding videographer in the Cheshire area fall into one of the following 4 groups (for a full day package, be aware that prices in other parts of the country may vary significantly):

Up to £ 500 - This is an unbeatable price for a wedding video. The videographer is probably either very new to the industry and trying to establish himself and build a portfolio or alternatively very poor in their camera work and editing. Let's face it, if they could charge more, they would. They are likely to use inferior consumer camcorders and audio equipment. Use your brain!

£ 500 to £ 800 - Cheap video without frills. The video will probably be quite simple and maybe a little boring to watch, but at this price you should expect a competent job. Be sure to check out their work and watch more full wedding movies before booking so you can be sure you like their work.

£ 800 to £ 1500 - middle class. For this price, you should get a more interesting video. The videographer probably uses more equipment to obtain a larger selection of images. This will be visible to you in the style of the movies.

Over £ 1500 - High end. For this price, you should get a movie with a distinctive style and a uniform finish in high quality. If you see a movie on their site, your response should be 'wow', so choose the one that wows you the most.
